  Amidst China-Taiwan tensions, the dead body of an officer of the Research and Development Unit of the Taiwan Defense Ministry has been found. O Yang Li-hing, deputy head of the Taiwan Defense Ministry's National Chung-shan Institute of Science and Technology, was found dead in a hotel room in Pingtung city on Saturday morning, the Central News Agency (CNA) reported.

Officials said 57-year-old O Yang died of a heart attack. His family also told that he had heart-related ailments. The CNA said that O Yang had gone to Pingtung city on business. He was supervising several missile production projects. At the beginning of the year, he took over as the deputy head. His death has come at a time when China is continuously doing military drill near Taiwan.

Angry over the visit of US Parliament Speaker Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan, China has been conducting military drills since August 3. Chinese army jets are constantly infiltrating Taiwanese airspace. This military exercise is going on in 6 areas around Taiwan. On the first day, more than 100 fighter jets from China took off in the northern, southwest and southeast airspace of Taiwan. At the same time, 68 fighter jets and 13 warships crossed the Taiwan Strait (median line) on the second day.

The Taiwanese Defense Ministry has deployed the missile system as a precaution. He is constantly monitoring the actions of China. Some aircraft and ships have also been dispatched for monitoring.

The drill will run till August 7,
China is doing this military drill just 16 km from the Taiwanese coast. Real weapons and ammunition are being used in this. This military exercise has been named 'Live Firing'. This exercise will run till August 7. Earlier, China used to do this drill about 100 km away from Taiwan, but after Nancy's visit, it has now reached very close.
